Food Preparation starts out with activities like the following and include going out to the garden to retrieve food that the child helped take care of.
For infants, first around 9mo they learn how to sit in a small chair at a small table with the other children and myself. Then they learn how to use utensils, serve them selves and others, then set the table, then bussing the table. Then they move onto the following. By this time they are around 2-3 yrs old:
bread slicing
orange squeezing
cinnamon or nutmeg grating
nut cracking
cutting/prep -cheese, carrots, melon, bananas, vegetables
If your child has any allergies or special diets, I can give you a reference of a parent whom I worked with for 3 yrs with her child and his allergies. We learned alot together! The child was allergic to "ANY" corn products, nuts and milk.
